School Gateway

At Weyfield we use an online payment system called School Gateway.

The app is available on Android, iOS and the web. It’ll work on phones tablets, laptops and even smart watches. All communication is protected behind a pin code that you set yourself. Find out more here.

Packed lunches

Children choosing packed lunch, are asked to bring in their packed lunch and leave it in the designated spaces shown to them by their class teacher. Please make sure their lunch boxes/bags are well labelled with their names.

If your child brings a packed lunch, please be aware we are a 'Healthy School' and we ask that packed lunches follow the guidelines below:

  • We are a NUT FREE SCHOOL so please ensure that no NUTS of any kind are brought e.g Peanut Butter, Nutella and small bags of Nuts and Raisins etc. We have more than one child with severe nut allergies. Thank you for your understanding.
  • Please ensure that your child has a drink (no fizzy drinks)
  • If they have a yoghurt or similar you will need to provide a spoon
  • Please do not include sweets/chocolates, i.e. Mars Bars, Smarties etc.
  • Please ensure that their lunch box is clearly named.
  • Please ensure that grapes are cut in half.
  • Please ensure that your child brings a separate drinks bottle (other than their packed lunch drink) which will be kept in the classroom. This bottle should go home daily to be washed and refilled.

Universal Infant Free school Meals for Key stage 1

As of September 2014, all key stage one pupils attending schools in the United Kingdom are entitled to free, cooked school meals. This is called Universal Infant Free School Meals and is an automatic entitlement that you do not need to apply for.

If your child would prefer a packed lunch, they may bring their own from home.

Please see the information below about Free School Meals. If you meet the criteria for Free School Meals we strongly encourage all parents to apply, as this results in additional funding for the school. (Applying for Free School Meals will not affect your entitlement to Universal Infant Free School Meals in any way).
