Hi

I hope you all had a relaxing weekend. Our newly formed Samba band has been practising hard and are sounding rather in time. I was wondering at the weekend if anyone could make a tune from blowing over the top of bottles. I can manage 4 different notes, but have not yet mastered a whole tune.

Show my homework -

Well done to all of you who have managed to get onto their Show My Homework log in. For many of you, this is very straight forward and you have been able to access your learning easily. For some, there have been a few teething problems which have prevented you from accessing the tasks set by your teachers. If this is the case, please do not worry. I am continuing to work through the e mails and calls that are coming through and the tech team at Satchel are really helpful. If you have missed anything today, that’s fine. There is no need to go back and do this at a later date unless you really want to. If you would like more work specifically designed for children of certain ages, the new ‘national academy’ was launched today. This is completely free to teachers and families and can be found at the following address: -

https://www.thenational.academy/online-classroom

Alternatively, bbc bitesize has also launched a free platform for daily lessons today - https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize

These are both excellent and well-trusted resources for any additional learning or ideas for activities.

Todays story is read by the amazing Mrs Sullivan who is missing you all. It’s ‘Daft Jack and Beanstalk’ by Laurence Anholt. We hope you enjoy it.

Stay safe,

Janette McClintock
