University of Surrey competition!

The University of Surrey is celebrating 50 years since its move to Guildford. To mark this special occasion, Experience Guildford and the University have launched an exciting competition for families this October half term.

From Saturday 22 to Friday 28 October, discover one of our hidden golden University stags around the town. The first family to discover each stag will receive a University of Surrey goody bag, with some great prizes for all who take part.

Each day, Steve the Stag (the University of Surrey Students’ Union Mascot) will be hiding a golden stag in a shop, cafe or town centre business and posting clues on the University of Surrey and Experience Guildford social media channels to help you find it.

Clues will be announced twice daily, so ask your parents/carers to keep a look out for them! Then you’ll have to unlock the clues to discover where the golden stags are hidden.

When you’ve discovered the golden stag, tell a member of staff at that location explaining where you spotted it – and you’ll receive your prize! Your parents/carers can also tweet or post your find on Instagram along with the hashtag #Surrey50, or send us a snap on Snapchat (uniofsurrey). There’ll be an additional a prize for the most creative social media post at the end of the week!
