Daily update 5th May 2020

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all well.

It’s been a very unusual day at school today. After making our initial plans to have more children and staff in school, a member of staff has developed some Covid19 like symptoms. This means for now  we have needed to reduce the number of children and staff in school once more. The member of staff is doing ok, but to be on the safe side, is being tested under the new testing scheme available for keyworkers. This has meant that we are not able to have any new children or staff come onto site this week and are having to put our plans for preparing to reopen on hold. Luckily, we have given plenty of time for our preparations.

As with many elements of our current lives, I guess this potential to need to change plans often may well become part of the new way of working for a little while longer. I’d like to thank you all once more for your patience, support and understanding at this time. The Weyfield community really is wonderful.

I will of course, let you all know how the member of staff is getting on and look forward to being able to continue with our preparations... we miss you all very much.

Stay safe,

Janette McClintock
