Update 16th June 2021

Hi Everyone,

We hope you are all well and enjoying this glorious weather while it lasts.
As you are probably aware, the Government announced an extension of the existing COVID restrictions on Monday and we have been thinking about how this needs to affect our plans going forward.

Unfortunately, we will need to rethink much of our end of year celebrations/ sports day and the start and finish times for drop off and pick up.

Drop off and pick up times from Monday 21st June 2021
In light of the decision we still need to have some staggering to our times but we now feel that we can bring them closer together and be more in line with our usual arrangements -
Start time will be as normal with the gates opening 5 minutes earlier to give everyone plenty of time to drop off and keep to the social distancing requirements (2m between households at the moment) -
Gates open - 8:25
Doors open - 8:35
Register in class is at  - 8:45
Register closes - 8:50

Pick up still needs to be staggered -
YR -14:50
Y2 -14:55
Y6 - 15:00
Y1 - 14:55
Y3 - 14:55

Y4 - 15:00
Y5 - 15:00

We trust that everyone will continue to be respectful of others and stick to the requirements until further notice. We will of course be reviewing the implications of the change on safety for everyone but I am sure that we can all work together effectively to make this work.
Other events
Sports day - we are looking at how we can stagger the events so that parents may attend bubble sports days - we'll send more details soon.
Y6 leavers  - will still go ahead as planned.
Y6 and sibling photos - will go ahead as planned. If you would like your children photographed together please be sure to reply on Mrs Cole's form.
Y6 residential - we are waiting for confirmation from the centre. However, we need to bear in mind that the Welsh restrictions can be different to our own and at the moment it is uncertain that we can attend. We will be able to let you know for certain on Monday.
End of term picnic - as this is unlikely to be the social event we hoped for, the picnic will be postponed until the autumn term.

Yr2 and Yr5 trips will go ahead as planned.

Thank you, as always, for your unwavering support and patience in these matters - it really does make a huge difference to how we are able to manage the necessary changes in these unusual times.
