Update 7th May 2021

Hi Everyone,
INSET for next year - 1st, 2nd, 3rd September
We have set the first three days of term as staff training days for September. This will allow us to comply with training requirements such as safeguarding and first aid as well as implement new changes to our curriculum ready for the start of term. We also hope that you will appreciate the opportunity to have a full week at this time to continue catching up with friends and family as this has been so tricky this year.
Staffing
We are delighted to be able to tell you that Miss Ridout is expecting her first baby in September. We are always very excited about baby news and I'm sure you'll join us in our joy of this wonderful announcement. Miss Ridout will be with us until the end of this academic year. We are also very pleased that Mr Mellish has agreed to stay with us for another year. We have started thinking about teacher deployment for next year and will be able to let you know once all are confirmed.
National Online Safety website
Please take a moment to view the guidance on this site. As a parent this is a really useful place to find essential information to help keep your children safe online. We are in the process of becoming a certified school and you should be able to access the resources for free. Please let us know if you have any difficulties with this and we will be able to help. Mrs Cole is a bit of a whizz and is sure to be able to assist. We do need some parents to register and for one to complete one of the useful parent webinars in order to fulfill the requirements. Your support would be very much appreciated.
As always, the children have worked incredibly hard this week. They are such a credit to us and you and we are incredibly proud of them all.
Whole School picnic - 21st July
Apologies for sending the wrong date previously. We are still very much hoping to be able to hold this event at the end of the year. It will be in the afternoon of the last day of term - now that will feel very normal! 😁 🤞
We hope you all have an enjoyable weekend.
Stay safe,
Janette McClintock (she/her)
