Update 12th March 2021

Update

Hi Everyone,
We hope you are all well and have enjoyed getting back to a bit of normality this week - even today's fire drill felt great!. It's been amazing to have all the children back and they have certainly thrown themselves back into their class learning with great enthusiasm. We are really looking forward to getting back to whole school activities and cannot wait to invite you all in  - we've even been considering the chance of Sports Day or a summer picnic... fingers crossed everyone!

Please remember that Friday 19th March is a planned INSET day. The school will be closed to all children.

Today we have applied to be a certified National Online Safety school. From the National Online Safety (NOS) team -

At National Online safety, it is our mission to make the internet a safer place for children. We will achieve this through equipping school staff, parents and children with the knowledge they need to understand online dangers and how best to react should an incident arise.

Every Wednesday, the NOS team produce a useful parents guide to... covering a wide range of topics that would be relevant to many of us, parents and staff alike. I've included the one on TIC TOC this week. Please cllick here to read it. Watch out for how you can find out more soon.

Reading
We have been delighted with the children's attitude towards reading this week. This is an area that is so important  for them to enjoy and master as it affects their access to the rest of the curriculum.

Science week has been great this week and the children have amazed us with their creative ideas for innovations. It has certainly been a busy week. If your child is tired this weekend, make sure they have plenty of opportunities for relaxation and sleep. They have earned it.

I've included some great pics from YR - well done!

We trust you'll all have a great weekend and for all the Mums, we hope you are thoroughly spoilt on Sunday.

Stay safe,
