Update 8th March 2021

Hi Everyone,

What a brilliant day we have had today. Thank you all so much for putting your trust in us and also preparing your children for their return. It has been amazing to see them all chatting away and catching up.

Today, we had a virtual school breakfast to give a sense of our whole community and attendance was at 97% today, which is utterly fantastic. For the rest of the week we will be continuing with our assessments in reading and maths and taking part in some innovative science experiments as it is Science Week.

Science week - Innovation for the future
The children will be asked to be creative and think outside the box so that they can design and test some new ideas for the future. This is such a lovely week to return on as there will be plenty of opportunities for collaborative learning. I cannot wait to see what they come up with.

Assessments for catch up
There is really no need for any worrying as this is for us to see where we are so the teachers can adapt the curriculum for catch up. As always, if your child is concerned about their learning or feels under any pressure, please do not hesitate to contact us.

We are expecting the children who have been at home to possibly feel  a bit tired by the end of the week. We have already spoken about how we can help and the teachers are aware that this may well be the case. It can be very tiring being around 30 other people all day when you have been used to just a few at home. If your child feels tired towards the end of the day or by the end of the week, don't worry. Just let your child's class teacher know and we can adjust what they are expected to do until they are able to build their stamina once more. Please make sure they still attend and we can talk to them about why they might feel this way.

We hope you all have a relaxing evening and we'll be ready to do it all again tomorrow. 😁

Stay safe,
