Update Wednesday 24th February 2021

Hi Everyone,

We were delighted to hear the news that all children are expected to be back in school from Monday 8th March and have already been really busy making plans to ensure this is as safe as possible. 😁 As yet, we are waiting for our plans and new risk assessment to be finalised and agreed by our Board of Trustees so I'm unable to give too many details as yet. We have had a few questions that I am able to answer for now -

1. drop off times and places and rules will be the same as they were before Christmas and each year group will remain in their class bubbles throughout the day

2. children will need to wear school uniform
We would still encourage that clothes are changed and washed as soon as the children return home from school and realise there may be some challenges with availability. Please do your best so that full school uniform can be worn. Our expectation is that this will be fully in place from 19th April (after the Easter break).

3. the attendance policy will be reinstated. Following Government guidance which states -  The usual rules and duties around school attendance are in place from 8 March (including mandatory attendance).
This will include absences being recorded as unauthorised if not explained or agreed and further procedures and referrals will take place if attendance drops below 90% - this is 7 or more unauthorised sessions (3.5 days) in a 6 week period.

If you have any questions, concerns or comments regarding the return of your child(ren) to full time education in school, please do not hesitate to contact us. It's really important that we have a chance to discuss any barriers over the next week so we can ensure the safe return of all our children on time, as expected on Monday 8th march.

Stay safe, and we very much look forward to welcoming you all back soon,
