Thursday 17th December 2020

Hi everyone!

We are delighted that we’ve managed to make it until the end of the term. It’s been absolutely amazing to be able to have the children back in school and learning. They have all worked incredibly hard and definitely deserve a lovely break.

We have totted up the money from Christmas Jumper day and raised a wonderful £206.13 for Save the Children – thank you all very much.

We hope that you have enjoyed the videos of the children put on PIOTA today. It’s not quite the same as a live performance, but hope it brought a smile. 😊

It’s really important that everyone continues to stay safe over the holidays, especially as our area has now been put into tier 3 restrictions. Please make sure you continue to follow the Government’s guidelines and keep yourselves and loved ones as safe as possible.

We really hope not to have to contact you over the holidays in relation to having received a notification of a positive test result from someone in school. This will only happen if we receive notification of the test result on or before Wednesday 23rd December. Fingers crossed!

If your child has symptoms either on Friday 18th or Saturday 19th then tests positive for COVID19 on or before Wednesday 23rd December, please contact the TKAT Centre between 10:00 and 14:00 by either phoning 07841967584 or e mailing covid@tkat.org. Please do not phone the school office.

If symptoms and a test result occur after this time, then please contact the NHS Test and Trace service in the normal way.

I would like to say a massive thank you to all the staff at school. They have all worked so incredibly hard making sure school stayed as normal as possible in the circumstances, which was no mean feat! I know many of you feel the same and we would like to also thank you for the kind gifts and cards given to the staff – all were very gratefully received.

It’s been such a tricky year for most people but we hope you are able to have some time with your loved ones (even if virtually) and find some peace and happiness over the holiday.

We hope you enjoy the attached video – it definitely helped to cheer us up today.

Hope you all have a lovely break and very much look forward to seeing you all in the new year.

Stay safe,

Janette McClintock
