Daily Update 11th May 2020

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all well and had a good weekend. It was very strange watching some of the VE Day celebrations over the weekend, where performances were in isolation or a few people gathered to remember while socially distancing. There were some very interesting stories shared though – it certainly puts our current dilemmas into perspective.

Reopening of schools

Thank you all for your patience. Today’s daily update from the Department of Education simply said that there will be more information to follow later today. So we will practise waiting patiently. 😊

As soon as we are more informed of the expectations and procedures that will need to be put in place, we will be able to finalise our plans and let you know how they will affect you and your child.

Today we made our first attempt at marking out the front playground for dropping off and picking up so that the 2 meter gaps between people waiting was clear. As we mainly used bunting and picnic tables to mark out the route, it just looked like a really weird fete, haha... we’ll try again tomorrow as practice makes perfect... and it might just be a little less windy.

In the meantime, please continue to keep yourselves safe and follow the Government’s guidelines on social distancing,

Janette McClintock
