EDI Statement (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion)

Equality, diversity, and inclusion are core to the values of TKAT and all Boards and Leaders, without exception, must lead by example and embody inclusive behaviours and governance. We are fully committed to understanding the challenges that exist for their staff, pupils and communities when it comes to the nine protected characteristics under the Equality Act 2010: 'age', 'disability', 'gender identity', 'marriage and civil partnership', 'pregnancy and maternity', 'race', 'religion or belief', 'sex', and 'sexual orientation'.

Considering the characteristics of our community, we are committed to building a diverse, equitable and truly inclusive school which we believe is essential in driving and maintaining excellence.

We will proactively be addressing these to the best of our abilities, whether this be in respect of recruitment, the curriculum or culture

  • Through the implementation of transparent policies, practices, and procedures
  • Through appropriate training, development and experiences of all parties involved
  • Through promoting these principles across the curriculum

Discrimination, in any form, will not be tolerated within Weyfield Primary Academy and we will be a proud, strong voice for equality, diversity and inclusion.
