Welcome to Weyfield Primary Academy!

Our vision is to provide every child with an outstanding education so that they can develop into confident young people with a sense of self-worth, who believe they can make a difference in the world.

This is a big vision but we believe our children deserve nothing less. We want to ensure they become global citizens, prepared to actively participate in society. This is one of the reasons why we teach the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) and why we have adopted the IPC's nine personal goals: resilience, morality, communication, cooperation, thoughtfulness, respect, enquiry, adaptability and international awareness.

This is also the reason why we have become a Scouting school. Our registered Scouts' group is called 1st Weyfield and we currently have 140 Cub Scouts invested in 6 Cub packs. Including Scouting in the curriculum at KS2 creates invaluable opportunities for our pupils to learn in different ways and in different places, and helps to build character, provide SMSC development and promote British Values. Most of all though, Scouting is about "everyday adventure" and having fun! Weyfield is the only primary school in the Guildford and Godalming area to offer this unique experience and I encourage you to come and see our Cubs in action.

Building character is important but it is only one of our three foundations for outstanding outcomes:

  • Academic excellence
  • Building character
  • Happy, healthy, safe

I hope you will take the time to explore each of these foundations here on our website. However, we couldn't possibly capture all the exciting learning that children are engaged with every day, so please come and visit us. I am always happy to show parents around our extensive facilities and want you to hear why the children love our school, in their own words.

As the Headteacher, I am privileged to work with an excellent team of teachers and support staff, our local governing body and the Kemnal Academies Trust (TKAT) to ensure that we deliver our vision for every child. As parents and members of our wider community, I hope you will work with us too; getting to know the families of our pupils is one of the most wonderful aspects of my role and I look forward to welcoming you at the many events that take place here throughout the year.

I am incredibly proud to be the Headteacher of Weyfield Primary Academy and I regularly tell anyone who will listen that I have the best job in the world: our children and families, our staff and community, make Weyfield a very special place to work and learn.
